WORCESTERSHIRE golden boy Leslie Law has picked up his latest medal - his MBE.
The 39-year-old Olympic gold medallist received the honour from the Queen at a ceremony at Buckingham Palace yesterday.
"It was a super day," he said. "The Queen shook my hand and said it was a little quieter receiving this medal than the last one. She also asked about the horses and wished me every success in the future."
Mr Law, born in Hereford but now a resident of Naunton, near Upton-upon-Severn, won individual Olympic gold and Great Britain team silver in the three-day event in Athens.
"To be crowned Olympic Champion and now to be awarded an MBE is fantastic," he said.
