TWO daytime burglaries were carried out on Stourport businesses in the same street during an afternoon.
At one of the Bridge Street businesses, the back doors were forced and a wooden wall smashed down, causing £300 damage, on Thursday, February 10.
A cash bag containing £400 was taken from a filing cabinet following a search of the office.
In the other premises, a door was forced and a cash box with £80 in it was taken from a payphone, together with four bottles of champagne and 10 bottles of wine. The combined value of the alcohol was £180. Neither business wanted to be identified.
PC Sarah Knight, of Stourport police, said: "Stourport town centre would have been very busy at this time and I would like to appeal to anyone who saw people acting suspiciously or anyone who has information about these burglaries to contact us on 08457 444888."
