FEBRUARY 22 was the birthday of Lord and Lady Baden-Powell, the founders of Girlguiding. To celebrate, this date became World Thinking Day, a great time to remember that we are part of a global movement of 10 million girls and women, and to reflect on some of the extraordinary things Guides do around in the UK.
In Kidderminster, members of Girlguiding of all ages will be celebrating in their units and districts.
They will be thinking of members in other countries and finding out more about them through games, crafts, songs and trying different food.
On Sunday many of these members will also join with others from around the region to celebrate and give thanks for Girlguiding at Worcester Cathedral.
At this service our Guiding awareness/recruitment week will be launched and will take place from March 14-19.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish all members a Happy Thinking Day and a big thank you for all you do for Girlguiding in Kidderminster.
