CHADDESLEY Corbett admit their hopes of promotion from North Mids South Two are fading after their 10-3 defeat to Dudley Kingswinford Wasps.
The setback sees Chaddesley slip to fifth and spokesman Nigel Evans admits their chances of nabbing one of the top two spots are slim.
"It's still fairly tight up there to be honest and if we were to win all of our games we might have a chance," he said.
Saturday's defeat was a fair result on the whole, although several refereeing decisions went against Corbett in a close and competitive game.
Nick White's penalty was all they had to show for their efforts.
Chaddesley face another tough test when they travel to league leaders Bredon Star on Saturday.
A shortage of front row forwards meant the seconds were without a match last weekend and will either host Bredon Star seconds or play a home pool fixture on Saturday.
