WALES look set to win the race for Chris Horsman.
Worcester's tight-head prop, who has enjoyed a superb debut season at Sixways, will qualify for Wales on May 1 despite being English-born.
However, after England failed to make any contact with the 27-year-old despite their front row problems, Horsman looks set to plump for the Welsh.
The former Celtic Warrior has been training with Wales this season and coach Mike Ruddock is reportedly keen on pencilling him in for a summer North American tour.
Welsh team manager Alan Phillips said: "He is a quality player. We had meetings with him in the past and he assured me he wanted to play for Wales. Now we are just looking forward to welcoming him on board. We cannot wait to have him."
n Horsman puts the record straight with Mark Dobson in tomorrow's Evening News.
