A WEBSITE providing information about Broadway's parish plan is already proving a hit just a week after being launched.
Members of the steering committee for the parish plan are producing and writing the site, which went live last Tuesday. Organisers hope the site will keep residents updated with the development of the plan, including the results of the questionnaire.
Committee member Mike Gordon-Smith said: "The site is already attracting a lot of attention, which is great because we want people to look at what we're doing. The steering group is totally voluntary and that is the beauty of it because it's a community-led thing.
"One of the things that came out of the questionnaire was a lack of communication in the village, and people are asking to be told about what's going on. Now we're planning to get together a newsletter, as well as the website, to keep people up to date.
"The makings of the parish plan are really in its infancy and as soon as the results are known from the questionnaire, more and more information will be put on the site.
The project is set to run for the duration of the steering group, which is expected to last around 12 months. But organisers are confident other members of the community will take on the site.
Mr Gordon-Smith said: "The long-term legacy of the site is something we need to think about - we don't want it to die when the steering group finishes. There are discussions going on with the parish council. Hopefully, it will be taken on by the community."
