WORKMEN will be engaged in refurbishing public toilets in Bewdley from today.
The upgrade to the facilities, in Load Street car park, is expected to take up to a month. It involves replacing and repairing internal fittings and redecorating the buildings.
The Wyre Forest District Council-owned toilets will be closed for the duration of the work and members of the public are being advised to use facilities in Dog Lane car park.
The Load Street car park toilets are expected to reopen at the beginning of the Easter holidays, on Thursday, March 24.
Councillor Marcus Hart, the district council's cabinet member for commercial services, said: "The council is keen to improve these facilities in Bewdley and to do this, we need to close them for a short time. We hope people will accept our apologies for the temporary closure."
