A CARE industry support association for managers has been re-launched.
Hallow-based National Care Mangers Forum is reviving its old name of the National Care Managers Association (NCMA) to raise its profile.
"Managers are at the sharp end of the industry and their role is unique," said chief executive Mike O'Neil. "Their expertise is relied upon to deliver quality care packages, while at the same time making sure profits for their owners are maintained.
"We believe in a plain-speaking policy which helps to make sense of some of the extremely complex legal issues within the care sector."
The association's service includes internet news updates on its website, regular care managers' workshops, as well as offering advice on registration and inspection from independent care consultant and Caring Times columnist Martin Wigg.
Membership costs £49.50 and can be processed on-line at www.NCMA.co.uk by following the website links, or by calling the group's offices at Hallow Park Estate, Worcester, on 01905 640029.
