A ROCK and Fossil Roadshow will be rolling into Worcestershire to bring geology to life.
Herefordshire and Worcestershire's Earth Heritage Trust, based at University College Worcester, are delivering the natural world to the "doorstep".
From expert analysis of unknown objects to fossil making and rubbings, family activities are on offer at the Bishops Wood Environmental Education Centre this Sunday.
The location also means that families can enjoy walks around 70 acres of woodland and meadows at the centre, in Crossway Green, near Stourport-upon-Severn.
"Children will be able to make their own fossils, create a Silurian Seascape, look at rocks under microscopes and find out how life on Earth has developed over time," said Julie Bundred, community liaison manager for the Earth Heritage Trust.
"Helping children discover the living creatures that inhabited Earth millions of years ago through fun activities is exciting.
"Having the Roadshow at this location also means it's a great opportunity for families to be able to walk and explore a wonderful countryside setting."
The event is open between 11am and 3pm on Sunday. Refreshments are available and visitors can bring picnics.
Entrance is £3 per adult or £1 for a child. For Friends of Bishop Wood members it is £2 for an adult and children enter free.
