CASH prizes are on offer for amateur photographers who capture Worcester's wildlife on film.
The Wild in Worcester competition entries will be judged at a Family Fun Day to be held in Tolladine Woods in April.
Worcester City Council ranger Richard Clarke said: "Aside from being a useful exercise in terms of prizes and prestige, the competition is also a way to encourage more people into local nature reserves and green open spaces where they might not normally venture."
The pictures can be of wild plants, animals, birds, landscapes, or a combination of them all, especially if they demonstrate the co-existence of nature and the developed areas.
All entries must be taken within the city boundaries and can be in colour, monochrome, film or digital.
The two age categories - under 16 and over 16 will be judged by members of the Worcestershire Camera Club.
