PLANS are being made to extend the mental health facilities at Osborne Court in Malvern Link.
A proposed two-storey extension to Rowan House would provide facilities and a day hospital for adults with mental health problems.
This would bring together under one roof the services currently provided at St Anne's Orchard and the Touchstone Centre, elsewhere in Malvern.
The Worcestershire Mental Health Trust is currently making out a business case for the project to West Midlands Strategic Health Authority.
If it is successful, the SHA will provide the estimated £2 million cost of the project.
The Osborne Court site plays host to several health services, including a facility for children with learning difficulties and a dental access clinic.
It is next to the proposed hospital site at Seaford Court.
