MALVERN Hills District Council could get together with police to provide a traffic warden for the town.
The idea was announced at Tuesday's executive committee meeting by council leader Tom Wells.
"I've been getting a lot of complaints about the parking since the police withdrew the traffic warden last year," he said. "It's not good if shoppers, visitors and tourists can't find places to park because people are staying too long."
He will write to Chief Supt Simon Adams offering to part-fund a traffic warden.
The committee also agreed to extend an experimental seven-day ticket scheme. Since last June, seven-day tickets, costing £3, have been available for the car parks at Victoria Road and Church Street.
This will be extended to all the long-stay car parks in the district.
