AN investigation has been launched into a near collision between an RAF Harrier jet and a County Air Ambulance helicopter.
The incident happened on Wednesday, February 9, above the air ambulance's Strensham heliport.
West Worcestershire MP Sir Michael Spicer has pledged to take up the matter with the Ministry of Defence. He will be briefed on the incident at a meeting on Monday (February 28) with representatives from Bond Air Services, which operates the air ambulance.
Bond Air Services spokesman Doug Allsop said the near collision was being investigated by the Royal Air Force and the Civil Aviation Authority.
A spokesman for the MoD said it was awaiting the results.
