Miracles do happen according to the manager of the Lyttelton Well in Malvern.

Despite a major complication, a new kitchen has been completed at the venue in two weeks.

A number of local firms and scores of volunteers worked around the clock to create the new facilities and managed to finish the job on time.

The Coffee House, which had to be relocated during the work, is now fully functional again.

"We're up and running and it really is nothing short of a miracle," said general manager Jean Holt.

"At the beginning of last week, we suddenly realised we didn't have the right electricity wattage to work the new dishwasher.

"We called in local contractors, who had never worked together before, and they worked brilliantly to fit us a new ring main of electricity."

Ms Holt said although the problem held back all the work, local firms and volunteers came in at all hours to help.

Staff are now hoping to raise enough money to create a conservatory to house two extra tables and a customer toilet.
