DROITWICH Rugby Club will be bidding to put a spanner in Hereford's works when the two clash at The Glyn Mitchell Memorial Ground.

The two clubs are enduring very different fortunes in Midlands Three West (South) with the Wyesiders on a great run while Droitwich are rock bottom.

However, Droitwich's director of rugby Julian Bailey believes that the Spa side could cause an upset in Saturday's clash (2.15pm).

"Hereford haven't got a good away record so I'm hopeful we can take advantage," he said.

"We're in a terrible predicament, but we can still give teams a good game."

Hereford have lost four out of their five games this season away from home but recorded a fine 11-8 weekend win at leaders Barkers Butts.

Droitwich went down 44-8 at Old Leamingtonians on Saturday, so the omens do not look good for the relegation-haunted club.

Malvern, meanwhile, welcome Kenilworth to Spring Lane for a must-win encounter.

The Midlands Two (West) side have won five games in succession and will be desperate for victory in order to stay in touch with the top two teams Hinckley and Burton.

With those two set to play one another next month, Malvern look ready to pounce when either drops points.

In Midlands One, Bromsgrove --fresh from just losing out to champions Leicester Lions -- tackle the third placed team Kettering.

Luctonians, conquerors of Kettering last weekend, welcome Broadstreet to Mortimer Park.
