AUDIENCES can expect a barrel of laughs with an international flavour as comedians from all corners of the world descend on Worcester for a regular comedy night in the city.
The Marr's Bar's Comedy Zone is held on the first Thursday and this month sees Jason Rouse - currently touring the UK from his native Canada - taking to the stage.
His bizarre stand-up act is a combination of well-crafted jokes and "freak-show-like" theatrics.
In his eight years as a comedian, Jason has won several awards for his edgy style of humour and audience members are warned to expect the unexpected.
Supporting Rouse are comedians Tony Hendrix and Kevin Hayes. Hendrix was Jamaican comedian of the year in 1999 and 2000 before moving to the UK to perform full-time and is now a regular headliner at comedy clubs up and down the country, delighting audiences with tales of his Jamaican origins and impressions of 21st Century life in the UK.
Hayes is an Irishman possessed with all the charm you might expect from a comedian born on the Emerald Isle.
His gentle humour, relaxed and easy-going manner, coupled with his own take on political and religious life in Britain and Ireland make his performance seem effortlessly funny.
At the helm will be compere for the evening, Adam Montgomery - all the way from Malvern!
Tickets £8 each in advance from the Marr's Bar, Music City and Kaos in the city or £9 on the door.
People are advised to book early as the shows often sell out. Telephone 01905 613336 for more information.
