VOLUNTEERS are being urged to step forward to help keep the city cycle and walking routes in top shape.
The green transport charity Sustrans is hoping volunteer Rangers will offer their services to keep cycle lanes around Worcester, Droitwich, Kempsey and Pershore tidy and safe for users.
Tasks include improving signs, cutting back vegetation and keeping routes open.
They also play a crucial role in promoting use of the route by organising public rides and distributing leaflets.
Rangers also report damage so it can be mended to keep lanes safe.
Tony Ambrose, Manager of Sustran's Volunteer Ranger Programme, will give a presentation about the role at 7.30pm at the Guildhall in Worcester, on Thursday, March 10.
New volunteers can register on the night.
