YOUNGSTERS at a Worcester nursery have been learning from one of the UK's leading authorities on diet and nutrition.
Judith Wills, author of the Children's Food Bible, handed out fruit to more than 100 children at Tumble Tots in Warndon Villages on Tuesday to help launch the national nursery chain's Eat Fit Keep Fit campaign to help fight childhood obesity.
Youngsters and their parents also received the Eat Fit Keep Fit leaflets and stickers throughout the week, giving tips on healthy eating and some quick, easy meal ideas.
Judith said research shows that food preferences formed in the early years tend to last into adulthood - and that overweight children also tend to become overweight adults.
"At a time when our children are having a diet higher in sugars, salt, and unhealthy types of fat than ever before, Tumble Tots' Eat Fit Keep Fit campaign will, I am sure, prove to be of vital importance in helping to change eating habits for the better," she added.
