STOURPORT Swifts were denied their first Southern League Division One West away win since September by an equaliser eight minutes into stoppage time at Rothwell Town.
The 2-2 scoreline was harsh on Swifts who had dominated for long periods of the match and took the lead as early as the fourth minute.
Paul Lloyd set Richard Burgess free and the striker finished superbly from the edge of the box.
New signing Alex Volosanovs nearly doubled the lead seconds later but his shot was well held by home 'keeper John Hughes.
Twice Rothwell midfielder Dean Foley went close before finally getting on the scoresheet after 19 minutes with a thunderous 25-yard strike.
Swifts were soon back in the lead, however, as four minutes later Mark Crisp held the ball up well and released Danny Mason who deftly curled the ball into the top corner from just outside the penalty area.
Stourport had strong claims for a penalty before half-time when Volosanovs went on a storming run and was felled by Darren Gadsby.
Rothwell started the second period well with Andy Jones and Nick Green clearing away goal-bound efforts.
The ever-dangerous Foley twice tested Aaron O'Malley but the points looked to be heading back to Worcestershire until stoppage time.
Inexplicably, for a game which had no serious injuries or incidents, the referee found nine minutes of time to add on at the end.
And with 98 minutes on the clock an innocuous challenge by Craig Webb, on the touchline, saw Rothwell awarded a free kick 20 yards from goal.
The kick fell to Michael Boyle-Chung and the Rothwell substitute made no mistake from 10 yards out.
