KIDDERMINSTER and Stourport Athletics Club secured their Birmingham League Cross Country Division One status by finishing the season in ninth with 1,495 points.
An inspired effort in the final round at Northampton saw the team record a season's best score of 286 points.
The club moved up several places, clear of the relegation zone, helping to push long time Division One club Birchfield Harriers down into Division Two.
Matt Vaux-Harvey led the team home in eleventh place, followed by Tom Kenderdine 29th, Allan Jackson 41st, Dave Hall 55th, Matt Grainger 66th, Steve Smith 84th, Rob Charzn 91st and Graeme McMillan 112th. Returning from a long-term injury was Steve Poulton in 116th position.
