FIFTEEN employees of a Worcestershire-based company have been "withdrawn from front line services" after undercover journalists exposed disturbing evidence of violence, abuse and assaults against detainees.
A Real Story programme to be shown on BBC1 tonight shows the shocking treatment of asylum seekers and immigrants by some staff at a detention centre and escort service in Cambridgeshire run by Broadway-based Global Solutions Ltd (GSL).
Following the filming of the programme, the company has now issued a statement, saying that the 15 employees mentioned in the BBC allegations had been withdrawn from frontline duties pending the outcome of the investigations, while three others had already resigned in unrelated circumstances, and another had subsequently resigned.
