ALVECHURCH'S backlog of league games continued to pile up with another postponement this time against Coalville at Lye Meadow.
The Churchmen now find themselves dragging six games behind a few of the clubs in the Midland Alliance and also in two cup competitions.
Alvechurch have the final of the Worcestershire Senior Urn against Bromsgrove Rovers Reserves as well as a second leg of the Polymac Services League Cup semi-final against Racing Club Warwick.
A concerned Church boss Peter Frain said: "We need to be playing regularly if we want to keep this consistency level up.
"Saturdays are what this league's all about and I think we're six or seven games behind some of the teams in this league.
"I've discussed it with the board and I obviously understand they have to rent the pitch out to raise funds for the club.
"But if we were trying to win the league this season then we'd still have 18 games to play and that's not including the cup competitions."
Frain was looking forward to getting some silverware in his first season at the Meadow and is confident of his team getting hold of the Worcestershire Senior Urn after a 7-1 demolition of Castle Vale in the semi setting up a date with Bromsgrove.
He added: "I don't think Bromsgrove will be fielding their first team but they've got a few good youngsters coming through so it'll be a good final to watch."
"We really annihilated them (Castle Vale).
"The way we've been playing recently and with the consistency we've kept I could tell somebody would be on for a thumping.
"We created a lot of chances and put away about 80 per cent so really it could have been 10 or 11."
