POLICE are on the look out for a man resembling the 1980s pop star Adam Ant and an accomplice who they want to speak to about a burglary spree at restaurants.
Items were taken from the Spice Balti and Lanatong restaurants in the High Street, the China Inn on Vine Street, and the Curry Merchant takeaway in Port Street, Evesham.
The culprits stole four phones - three of them mobiles, £200 cash, tills, a chequebook and two bottles of Japanese wine.
The incidents occurred between 2pm and 6pm on Friday, February 25.
At around 7pm two white men were interrupted as they attempted to enter a flat above the Swan Inn in Port Street.
One was about 6ft tall, with curly dark hair and a face resembling the 1980s pop icon, Adam Ant in his heyday. He wore black clothes, including a black bomber jacket.
The other was bald and described as thin. He was believed to be in his 20s and wore a T-shirt and jeans.
"While we are keeping an open mind as to whether these incidents were linked, we would like to hear from anyone who can offer information about the two men and their whereabouts," said a police spokesman.
Information about the men or the restaurant incidents should be reported to Worcester police on 08457 444 888.
