WESTFIELDS defender Dave Howes looks set to miss the rest of their Travel Factory Alliance season with a knee injury.
Howes has been a key figure for the Hereford side who travel to lowly Causeway United in the league tonight (7.45pm).
Westfields were without a game on Saturday but now face three fixtures in 10 days, visiting Cradley Town on Saturday and playing Sutton United next Tuesday in a HFA County Senior Challenge Cup semi-final.
They are already through to the Herefordshire Senior Cup final where they face either holders Hereford United or old West Midlands League rivals Kington Town.
And chief executive Andy Morris admitted: "It's an important period in the season. Our joint manager Sean Edwards had the players in for training on Saturday.
"Dave had a bad fall at Studley last month and is out of action. It could be an operation but we are awaiting results. It's a great pity as he was in great form this season.
"Thankfully, Wayne Hoskins has slotted back into defence and done very well but we hope Dave will be back in readiness for the new season."
Westfields' reserves are also going well with Mark Mortlock (two) and Matt Aubrey scoring in a 3-0 win over Hereford Lads' Club.
Meanwhile, Kidderminster Harriers are due to host Coleshill Town in the Midland Floodlit Youth League Premier Division tonight (7.30pm).
Bromsgrove Rovers play Bromyard Town in the Southern Division, while Malvern Town go to Redditch United.
