DROITWICH Spa will end a 40-year drought when they step out for a cup final next week.
The Midland Combination Division Two side are preparing to take on holders Bewdley Town in the Mann Broadbent Insurance Worcestershire FA Saturday Junior Cup final at Worcester City's St George's Lane next Wednesday (7.30pm).
Kevin Blaber's charges are the first Spa-based side to reach the final in four decades since Droitwich Sports lost 4-2 to Pershore Junior Old Boys in 1965.
West Midland Division One outfit Bewdley are making their third consecutive final appearance, losing in 2003 before defeating Malvern Town Reserves 3-0 last season.
