Kettering 40 Bromsgrove 15
Midlands Division One
RELEGATION worries have started to grow out at Finstall Park after the Boars were trounced by Kettering on Saturday.
Defeat, Bromsgrove's third in a row, means there are still fears they can still go down from the Midlands Division One.
While second from bottom Broadstreet cannot catch the Boars Derby and Whitchurch, both of whom are still in danger of going down, are only two points behind.
On Saturday Bromsgrove suffered one of their worst defeats of the season as promotion chasing Kettering put six tries past them.
It was left to fly-half Matt Birch to try and stem the tide of Kettering attacks.
Birch scored fives penalties as he reached 156 points for the season.
Bromsgrove will be hoping to use their game in hand against Longton on Saturday to take them closer to safety.
Coach Dean Ball will be happy if the game in Stoke is played, after the last two attempts to settle this fixture have been postponed because of bad weather.
He said: "I'm hoping it's third time lucky for the Longton game.
"It's a match we really need to play."
However, Longton's game against Walsall was called off on Saturday.
