It was reported that in 2003 we had been inundated with requests from the hospital for equipment which totalled £45,000. This was mainly due to the refurbishment project within the hospital but 2004 has been a quieter year in comparison with requests totalling £9,000 and this had allowed us to get our breath back and replenish our finances.
The first meeting of the New Year took place in January, it was identified that it was 25 years since the Friends, with help from the carnival committee, resurrected the Bromsgrove Carnival and Gala.
A request had been submitted from the hospital for a replacement phlebotomy chair (when taking blood samples ) as the current chair, which has been in the hospital since its opening in 1992, had been rendered condemned, the price would be in the region of £800.
