WORCESTER employers are to offer valuable roles to people aged 50 or above at an open day hosted by JobCentre Plus later this month.
The event, on Thursday, March 17, at the Guildhall in the High Street, will enable mature local jobseekers to find out about the huge range of services available to help them back to work or find suitable training opportunities.
"JobCentre Plus would urge anyone in the Worcester area who is aged 50 or over and needs help returning to work to come along," said Tracy Harvey, business delivery manager for JobCentre Plus Worcester.
"We have brought together several organisations providing services to the over 50s under one roof, all of whom will be offering expert assistance to customers.
"People can just call in to have a look around or they can have a one-to- one discussion with a representative of their choice.
"There is also the chance to have an informal chat with JobCentre Plus advisers about in work benefits and how to make themselves better off by taking a job and also, how New Deal 50+ can help you."
