ALCESTER High School pupils scooped first prize in Alcester Rotary Club's eighteenth Youth Speaks contest.
Their subject "The Pop Industry is More About Profit Than Talent" - placed them winners of the contest, in which a record seven teams took part.
Club president Jim Clarke presented the winning team with the annual cup and book token and cheque for £200 towards their school funds.
The team will now take part in Friday's district finals at Arden School, Knowle.
