PEOPLE wanting to set up a childcare business will be able to get help from a series of courses running in Worcester and Droitwich
The childcare development courses are being run by the Early Years Development and Childcare Partnership and the first workshop, at Perdiswell Young People's Leisure Centre in Bilford Road, Worcester takes place on Friday, May 20.
The session will teach participants how to plan, research and undertake marketing, assess the suitability of premises, set up policies and procedures, develop a business plan and find out about available funding.
A further session looking at the skills and knowledge needed to run a successful childcare project will be held at De Salis Court in Droitwich on Wednesday, June 15.
The course will look at finding out the childcare needs for the area, developing the service to meet those needs, setting realistic fees, budgeting for costs, advertising the service and applying for funding.
