WORCESTER City Amateur Boxing Club recorded three wins out of four fights in a visit to a show in Shrewsbury.
Gary Davis maintained his unbeaten record when he out-pointed Lee Jones of Atherstone ABC.
Davis forced the pace throughout the bout, keeping Jones on the backfoot with the better boxing skills.
Jones fought back, but was picked off with the accurate punching of Davis.
Southpaw William Johns faced S Donnelly of Droitwich ABC in a well-matched and hard fought bout.
Johns attacked from the off with three and four-punch combinations, but found Donnelly, a good boxer, difficult to hit. Johns upped the work rate against the counter punching Donnelly, just enough to take the decision in a close contest.
Light heavyweight Sam Francis out-pointed Shrewsbury's Lee Turner in a bout dominated with Francis' hard, straight punching.
Turner took plenty of heavy right hands during the first round and did well to stay in the contest.
Turner used his jab in the second to keep the aggressive Francis away, but a crushing left right towards the end of the round caught Turner again. He showed courage and determination, but could not deny Francis victory.
Dave Cuss lost on points to M Morgan from Droitwich.
