IT'S difficult to be sure whether the waxing and waning of Moon on that day (Thursday, March 24) had temporarily taken over from April 1 when reading the account of the Moscow surgeons who decided to enlarge the size of a man's penis by attaching it to his arm to persuade it to grow.

One can't help wondering why the arm? Might this become a new niche market in surrogacy if we're not careful - and were early experiments unsuccessful for people now recognised as talking out of their backsides?

WENDY HANDS,
