WOODRUSH Rugby Club's annual Presidents Day got under way on Saturday but former presidents weren't the only VIPs as Bromsgrove MP Julie Kirkbride dropped in.
The Wythall club were keen to show Ms Kirkbride how they would like to develop in the future and their plans to enhance their own facilities as well as to gain her support for the projects.
The Woodrush team capped the day in style after a 17-5 victory over North Midlands One opponents Birmingham Exiles.
And more than 50 former presidents and vice-presidents turned up to celebrate.
Present Woodrush RFC chairman Brian Smart said: "It was a great day for us made all the more special as a big crowd enjoyed the game.
"I would like to add my thanks to Ms Kirkbride who joined us for the afternoon."
