REDDITCH'S Freestyle Kickboxing Association was back in action at the Gloucester Open on Sunday, March 27.
Brothers Lewis and Conner Morris were in action in the novice boys section.
Eleven-year-old Lewis, who has had just four lessons, was first up in the under 145cm section but just lost his fight by two points.
Conner, 13, who has had even less practice with just two lessons under his belt, fought in the 155cm group. After taking a bye to the quarter finals, Conner progressed even further when his opponent withdrew. But the final was a step too far and the teenage kickboxer took second.
Tom Day was next to go for only his second fight in the men's under 70kg novice grouping. The 16-year-old won all his bouts to take first place before deciding to enter the under 75kg intermediate competition.
Day took third place which also gave him 250 points in the British Championships.
Instructor Adam Laurence fought next in the men's under 70kg advanced group. After four hard fought fights Laurence made it to the final were he came up against the World Champion Carl Swaybe.
In the end just one point separated the two men with Laurence taking second.
Roy Laurence said: "We would like to thank all fighters and those that came and supported us and anyone interested in joining the club should call 450926."
