THE Cricket Force was with Ashton CC last Saturday when David Leatherdale and Daryl Mitchell got down to some serious work in readiness for next month's start of the new season.
The two Worcestershire CCC players were, like their fellow New Road men, helping out at local clubs in a national event organised by the England and Wales Cricket Board.
There was more activity at Evesham CC where officials had enlisted the help and generosity of B & Q in rebuilding sightscreens.
The Four Pools company provided the paint and timber to allow the workforce to rectify damage caused by autumn gales.
The hard work proved rewarding as the Birmingham League club will now be able to use sightscreens not only for senior matches but also for the third team and also some junior matches.
