A COMEDY portraying a mid-life marital crisis is set to keep audiences laughing.
Conjugal Rites, written by Roger Hall, opens for a four-night stint next week at the Norbury Theatre, Friar Street, Droitwich, on Wednesday, April 13.
The play focuses on Barry and Gen Masefield, around the time of their 21st wedding anniversary, pondering whether they can keep the marriage going for another 21 years.
Barry is a dentist, while Gen is a solicitor keen to make up for the lost years of motherhood and suddenly wanting more than Barry can offer.
Performances for the play, directed by Mike Matthews and starring Tony Boardman and Kate Freeman, start at 7.45pm with tickets priced at £6.50 and £5.50 available from the box office on 01905 770154.
The play does contain strong language and some scenes of a sexual nature and so is not suitable for children.
