Parents and teachers at a Bromsgrove school have organised a fun way to raise money, writes Lizzie Bryce.
The Parent Teacher Association at South Bromsgrove High School has arranged an auction of goods and promises.
All proceeds from the event, on Friday, April 15, will go towards the Charford Road school and Bromsgrove's Primrose Hospice.
The auction has received support from both local businesses and Aston Villa Football Club, which has promised match tickets.
Other top prizes include a book signed by Cherie Blair, a coat worn by Coronation Street's 'murdered' Tommy Harris, and vouchers for the David Lloyd Centre, in Slideslow Drive.
PTA chairman Mandy Suggitt said: "For the event to be a success it needs the support of the public. The more promises that are donated, the more money can be raised for good causes."
The auction is open to adults only and will take place at 7.30pm at Bromsgrove Rovers Victoria Ground in Birmingham Road. Entry costs £5 and includes a pizza supper and disco. For details call 01527 832776.
