RESIDENTS are being terrorised out of their homes by vandals in a Spa street.
The residents of Ombersley Street West, who did not want to be named for fear of their safety, are waking up to find their cars and property damaged each weekend.
They suspect revellers who have been out drinking in the town centre are doing the damage on their way home.
One resident has had his car regularly damaged and scratched, garden items stolen and vandalised, litter strewn all over and not cleared up for days.
He said he may be forced to move out and leave the area if something is not done about it soon.
"It's a real shame because it used to be a nice area, but it is beyond a joke now and we can't put up with this for any longer," he added.
Now town councillors Peter Pinfield (Lab-East) and Sheila Seabourne (Lab-Central) have taken up the case.
The councillors are going to raise the issues with the crime and police liaison officer David Hemmings.
Cllr Pinfield said: "We will also speak to Inspector Brooker. We do need a CCTV camera set up that covers the area from the underpass and Westcroft pub down the whole of Ombersley Street West."
He added: "We will also see if some extra street cleaning can be carried out each Monday morning to tackle the rubbish problem."
Cllr Pinfield also said he was backing the suggestion that has been made to form a residents' association so that these issues can be raised directly with the council authorities.
He said: "Droitwich residents should be able to go about their normal day to day lives without this sort of aggravation and I will do all I can to stop this sort of anti-social behaviour."
