AT the March meeting, Mrs Pat Radford welcomed everyone and paid tribute to Mrs Gwen Jones, who had died.
Gwen was the widow of first president the Rev Trevor Jones.
Pat then introduced speaker Michael Davies, who explained the philosophy and practicalities of developing a new shopping centre, a project that seems fraught with danger with very many people involved in the preparation and execution.
The annual lunch at Perry Hall Hotel was well attended. The speaker was the Rev Bill Miles.
The next meeting will be the annual Cymanfa Ganu of Midlands Welsh Societies on Saturday, April 23, at Evesham Methodist Church at 2.30pm. Everyone who enjoys a sing-song is welcome.
