BASKETBALL: Bromsgrove Blaze A 118 Redditch Royals 49
BLAZE put themselves at the top of the Worcestershire Junior Division by thrashing their county rivals.
Bromsgrove enhanced their title chances and avenged losing to Redditch earlier in the season with an emphatic performance at home.
Blaze are in the title driving seat with two games to go.
Bromsgrove started the game with gusto and Callum Bolsher opened the scoring in the first minute.
Sam Goulding and Luke Stevens were in fine form to keep Redditch from battling back.
With Alex Lockwood in creative mood and Adam Beaumont in prolific scoring form from rebounds Bromsgrove took a 36-16 into the second quarter.
Lee Pankhurst kept Bromsgrove's momentum going as Blaze were leading 64-28 by half time.
Chris McMillan and Guy Morris scored their first points for Blaze, as the team scored 34 points compared to Redditch's eight in the third quarter.
Bromsgrove rounded the game off in the final period with Stuart Watts and Morris scoring.
