BIDFORD residents were preparing for another fight with developers today in their bid to save a Victorian schoolhouse from the bulldozer.

Last week, they persuaded planners to defer their decision on Westbury Homes' application to replace the building with four houses but days later, the company wrote to Stratford District Council giving them 48 hours' notice of their proposals.

Anxious residents, councillors and officers were fighting to halt the process as the Chronicle went to press.
