A PLAY depicting life in the Soviet Union more than five decades ago is to be staged at Worcester's Swan Theatre on Saturday.
A spokesman for the Swan Theatre Amateur Company explained the plot of One of Us: "What really happened during that summer weekend of 1951 when Guy Burgess and Donald Maclean suddenly disappeared, only to surface later in Moscow?
"This gripping play sets out to unravel the story behind Burgess's dramatic defection and his association with Gorowy Riss, and EM Foster's declaration that he would rather betray his country than his friends.
"Ultimately, who is left feeling the real traitor?"
Described as a "tense and compelling drama", tickets for the play, which cost £7, can be bought by calling Huntingdon Arts box office on 01905 611427.
