ust one of the Danemere dogs that is looking for a family
PUPPIES and dogs at a Worcestershire animal rescue centre are in desperate need of homes.
Danemere Animal Rescue, in Tibberton, near Droitwich, is over-run with around 40 dogs - double its usual number.
But kennel supervisor Dave Lannie warned that people must think carefully about the responsibility of having a dog before getting one.
"People that want a dog, whether from us or somewhere else need to make sure they have the time to take them on," he said.
The centre has a variety of breeds, including collies, German shepherds, terriers, Labradors and - the star attraction - Staffordshire bull terrier cross Ellie.
"She's an absolutely superb little dog and fantastic with kids and other dogs," added Mr Lannie.
More unwanted animals waiting to arrive at the centre are not able to get in because the kennels are full.
