A STOURPORT frisbee fanatic is in the throes of setting up a team for a sport he hopes will be a major catch in Wyre Forest.
John Watson took up playing 'Ultimate' around three years ago and is now attempting to form a local side to play matches.
The sport involves two teams of seven players with the aim of passing the disc up the field to a point-scorer standing or running into the opposition's zone.
"I was messing around with a frisbee with a friend in the park years ago and wondered if there was anyway to play competitively," said Watson who is working towards his level one coaching qualification.
"I did some research and found out about the website www.ukultimate.com and it's getting quite popular with teams forming around the country.
"The nearest one to use is in Birmingham and I'd like to be able to get a local team together."
He is looking for 10-15 players of all ages, male or female, who can commit themselves to playing twice a week. For more details, phone Watson on 07815 847 539.
