AMERICAN Ryan Patton has been identified as the player to stop as Worcester Wolves aim for play-off success.
The City of Sheffield Arrows point guard is set to line-up against Wolves when the sides go head-to-head in the England Basketball League Division One play-off semi-final first leg at University College Worcester on Saturday.
Patton has the best scoring record in Division One, an average of 27.44 points per game, and has been terrorising defences all season.
He was the main marksman in both victories against Wolves during the league campaign, scoring 36 points in Sheffield and 38 in the return at UCW.
Yet, he only managed a handful of points in his team's 103-71 thrashing of Essex and Herts in the quarter-finals.
Wolves secretary Dave Smith said: "Essex and Herts managed to contain him but the other guys took over.
"Yes, he's a threat but I am sure our coaches are working on the best way to contain that threat."
Wolves are expecting a bumper crowd and are recommending fans arrive early for the 7pm tip-off.
