A charity ball has raised more than £2,000 in aid of the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children.
Steve and Jayne Lloyd held the ball at Worcester Rugby Club on Saturday, March 19.
And Steve plans to run the London Marathon on Sunday, April 17, to raise more money for the charity.
"The ball was a tremendous success. Everyone had a really good time as well as raising much needed funds for a good cause," said Mrs Lloyd.
Guests enjoyed a three-course meal before band Funky Skunk struck up.
There was also a charity raffle and an auction in which Mr Lloyd, a personal trainer, gallantly sold himself to an auction bidder.
"We would like to thank everyone who supported us," added Mrs Lloyd.
Anyone wishing to sponsor Mr Lloyd, who lives in Bromsgrove, for the marathon can do so by visiting his website at www.
