A FUNERAL company is asking people to match smiles for pounds in a fund-raising campaign for Macmillan Cancer Care.
Holland Funeral Service in Barnard's Green Road, Malvern, this week launched its Macmillan Miles Challenge to match a mile of brightly-coloured smiley faces with a mile of donations to the charity.
The company aims to raise the amount by the end of May, with all of the cash staying within Worcestershire.
Last year it managed to link the community with a mile of signed paperchains, raising a total of £2,051.
And this year it hopes to build on previous sums collected with the support of residents and businesses.
The faces and coins will be laid out on the Barnard's Green island on Friday, May 27.
"We pride ourselves on offering a challenge to the community that people of all ages and physical abilities can support if they wish," said community manager Hilary Al Rasheed.
"This year we have endless smiley faces and we're inviting people to dedicate a smile to someone they love while making a donation."
Anyone interested in taking up the challenge can telephone the company on 01684 575343.
