The Easter theme is still going strong in Cradley, with the great spotty Easter egg hunt taking place until Sunday (April 10). There are 15 spotty eggs hidden in the village, with trail maps available at £1 from Cradley PO and Stores. Completed maps should be returned to the Post Office and will be entered into a prize draw at the playgroup on Monday, April 11. All proceeds in aid of Cradley Playgroup.
Tickets are still available for the St George's Day Beef and Ballads celebration on April 23. Cradley Village Hall will be the venue for a three-course meal and musical entertainment from the Trevor Emeny Jazz Quartet. A prize will be awarded to the best-dressed couple in the style of the 'jazz era'. Tickets are £15 and are limited to 50, so book now to avoid disappointment. The next public meeting in Cradley Village Hall will be on Monday, April 18. The speaker will be Dr D Foxton on Herefordshire from the air. Entry is £3, with all proceeds towards village hall funds.
Friends of Cradley School are holding a bingo evening on April 22 at the school at 7.30pm. Entry is £2 with refreshments and bar. Tickets are available from the school office.
