AFTER a long wait, Redmarley Primary School has finally been re-roofed, despite the work being done during school time. When the money became available, the offer was quickly accepted as the school's limited budget could only allow small patch-up work to be done. The next big project to be undertaken will be the refurbishment of the boys' and girls' cloakrooms when it is hoped the work will begin in the May half-term.
At the Redmarley Parish Council meeting, it was reported that the war memorial books had been received and distributed to those who attended the event or showed an interest. The books are still available by ringing the clerk on (01531) 850598.
Redmarley's annual parish meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 25.
Redmarley WI hold its next meeting on Thursday, April 14, at 7.30pm at Redmarley Village Hall, when the speaker will be Colin Russell and his talk is entitled Music Hall.
On Saturday, April 16, Redmarley senior citizens are holding a table-top sale in the village Hall.
