n A BRICK was thrown through a small pane of glass at Upton Police Station last Friday night. Vandals also damaged part of the cemetery wall and seats in the New Street children's play area on the same night. Anyone with information should contact police on 08457 444888.

n MEMBERS of the Coach Drivers Club of Great Britain will visit Upton as part of a trip to encourage group tours to Worcestershire. From today (Friday) until Sunday, they will visit a variety of county locations, including Upton's Severn Leisure Cruises. The visit has been organised by Worcestershire County Council.

n youngsters in Upton are gathering on the wooden fishing platforms put on the riverbanks by the Environment Agency. Police are warning the groups that the platforms are for fishing, not playing.

n TEXTILE Vocabulary is the title of a talk at Upton Baptist Church hall at 7pm on Friday, April 15. The speaker, Sheila Shaw, will discuss the use of textiles in illustrating conflict and emotion. Entry is free.

n A CONCERT in aid of Save The Children takes place at Upton Memorial Hall on Sunday, April 17, at 3pm. Singers Bethany Fuller and Glynn Purnell will perform works by composers including Mozart and Handel. Admission is £2 on the door.
